The Index currently holds some 800,000 baptisms, two thirds of which are from East Sussex. Records from West Sussex generously donated by the Parish Record Transcription Society are now being added. The parishes and periods covered by the index are shown in the alphabetical lists. Even though a decade is shown as having entries it may well not be complete.
